MONTREAL, February 21, 2000/ - Today, the Legal Publisher Jurifax launches forty new contract forms relating to the computing, multimedia and Internet fields, drawn up in English and in French, and intended for the international business community. These contract forms relate to topics such as:

Description
These contract forms are intended to provide the legal framework to agreements that are too often incomplete or entered into verbally between the service providers and their clients or their subcontractors, as the case may be. Each party's rights and obligations have been equally taken into account, namely intellectual property and confidentiality issues. The contract forms emphasize on disclosure by the providers of the essential information enabling their clients to knowledgeably enter into agreement.

About the Author
Vincent Allard, LL.L., LL.M., M.B.A., a business lawyer for 19 years, is an information technology specialist and a passionate about computing and the Internet. In preparation to the drawing up of the contract forms, he took a 80-hour programming course to get familiar with the jargon. He has also consulted over 200 contracts originating from the USA, Canada and Europe. Mr. Allard spent six full months to draw up the contract forms and finally, has sought advice from an IT expert about their technical content. The contract forms have been drafted for international use although a local legislation may require to add, delete or amend a particular provision.
